Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using ScanMyDomain, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. ScanMyDomain is operated by Kingsfield Ventures.

2. Service description

ScanMyDomain provides domain health scanning, including DNS, email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), and SSL/TLS certificate checks. Paid subscribers receive automated weekly monitoring and email alerts.

3. Accounts

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must not share your account or use another person's account without permission.
• You must be at least 18 years old to use this service.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service to scan domains you do not own or have authorisation to scan.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits or abuse the scanning infrastructure.
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the service.
• Resell access to the service without written permission.

5. Free scans

Free domain scans are provided on a best-effort basis. We reserve the right to apply rate limits and may restrict or discontinue free scans at any time without notice.

6. Subscriptions and billing

• Paid subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.
• Prices may change with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

7. Email alerts

By enabling domain monitoring, you consent to receiving automated email alerts about your monitored domains. These include score changes, critical findings, and SSL certificate expiry warnings. You can disable monitoring from your dashboard at any time.

8. Accuracy and limitations

Scan results are provided for informational purposes only. While we strive for accuracy, DNS propagation delays and caching may affect results. ScanMyDomain does not guarantee that following scan recommendations will resolve all security issues. You should consult a qualified professional for critical infrastructure decisions.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kingsfield Ventures shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of ScanMyDomain. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@kingsfieldventures.com. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
